We are unworthy people deeply loved by a merciful God.

God commanded many men to make daily sacrifices, and in such detail. Only the clean, not the unclean. Nothing that crawls, but animals such as goats, lambs, doves, and pigeons. Moses was one of many men God appointed as priests at the Holy Place. He trusted God with everything, even when it meant he had to give up his own sons or family members because God said they were disobeying him. Moses never resisted the Lord and his commands.

I read this story in Leviticus, and found myself feeling so unworthy, so selfish. We are receiving SO much grace, so much mercy from our Heavenly Father, and yet we act so selfish! We are overwhelmed and surrounded by sin everywhere we go! Yet God sent his Son to die while we were sinners so that we may have life.

When reading the Old Testament, I find myself SO thankful for Jesus. It can be so easily forgotten the great sacrifice he made for us so that we can have the freedom we have. We have been called as followers of Christ to shine His light everywhere we go to all the people we meet, and to share the great sacrifice and love of Jesus to those who need to hear it. We have been called here for a purpose, and have been placed in this time of our lives in the places that we are for a reason.

We need to start living like we know our purpose. It's not to get a degree, to get a good job, to get married, or to have kids. It's to LIVE for the one who died for us; to SHARE his unfailing love; to be CONFIDENT in His word.
