It is such a bittersweet feeling. Watching new friends leave that have shown me Jesus through their love for me and others was not easy. Preparing to leave an intern year that was challenging and life-giving is not what my heart is ready for.
Jesus you are my rock.
"The Lord will fulfill is purpose for me; your love, O Lord, endures forever- do not abandon the works of your hands." Psalm 138:8
10 weeks of summer. 4,479 campers came. 1,330 campers stood at say-so and said they had started a relationship with Jesus. So many lives were saved. So many new brothers and sisters in the kingdom.
After multiple 10-12 hour days, after many batches of bread not rising and salty cookies, after hard goodbyes and amazing new friendships, Jesus shows the work of his glorious hands. He came, conquered, and renewed us all. He revealed the goodness of his love not just to campers, but to his servants at this camp. He used us to be apart of something so much greater than ourselves.
My prayer for all that were apart of this amazing summer is that we never forget our purpose. God has destined us for something so much greater than this world. He wanted us to experience this summer so that we could get a glimpse of heaven. We encountered miracles. NONE of this would of been possible if Jesus wasn't so faithful.
We won't move without you.
I am about to embark on a new journey. God has called me to another year at Crooked Creek as full-time staff in the kitchen. It will be another year of new friends, lots of snow shoveling, and lots of learning about God's faithfulness. It is the beginning of an end for me, and I couldn't be more excited.
"I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:14
