My rotation has been in retail for the past three weeks and it has been so rewarding already. I am stealing this story from another intern, but really wanted to share just how magnificent our Heavenly Father is. My dear friend was walking past a leader and a kid having an intentional conversation during our shift in the coffee shop. The first couple of times she past it was only normal conversation, but finally the last time she walked by she heard words along the lines of, "You are now in apart of this big, loving family and we are so excited." That boy was giving his life to Christ. He came in Friday night not knowing that he was about to step into the greatest life changing moment of his life. Jesus knew that he would be welcoming someone into the family this weekend. This part of working here will never get old. God is so faithful.
"Nothing
in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and
laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account." Hebrews
4:13
It can be scary to think about the Lord literally seeing every flaw in us, every bad thing we've done, and every sin we have committed and will
commit. No other person in the world has the ability to know us that
way. But in reality, it is such a beautiful thing! The creator of all things knows us and all our kinks, yet still pursues us and loves us unconditionally.
I'm still in awe. Wow we are so loved!
Why
wouldn't we want to share this good news with those who don't know
about how dearly loved they are by the Heavenly Father? It is an honor
to be able to do that here at Crooked Creek. I have enjoyed so much
having the past couple of weekends be full of high school and middle
school students being presented the gospel. Hundreds of these kids
probably heard it for the first time!
I couldn't imagine my life being anywhere else, doing anything else, or serving anyone else other than Jesus. My heart is content.
"God
is not unjust: he will not forget your work and the love you have shown
him as you have helped his people and continue to help them." Hebrews
6:10
I'm
having to continue to remind myself that God sees the behind the scenes
work that I am doing. With every toilet that I scrub, every coffee that
I make, and every sheet that I fold is apart of something so much
greater than any worldly standards can set. I am here to glorify the Lord
and seek out his kingdom. I pray that in everything I do, no matter how
difficult or pointless it may seem, that I lift Him up and remember
that I am His beloved.

The happiest words to read were "My heart is content."
