I'm feeling good. Feeling great, really. I'm right where I think God is telling me to be. and I love it.
Someone told me recently that a woman could not minister because " it isn't biblical."
WHAT.
I actually was told this a few weeks ago, and I can't even begin to describe all the thoughts that have been going through my head about it.
a couple things that came to mind about this statement.
By saying that a woman can't minister, you are saying that I as a Young Life leader can not minister to high schoolers. Now that is something I KNOW God has called me to do. I was saved because of my Young Life leader, and I know many people who have been saved by women who have ministered to them. Why would God limit ministry to men, when more and more men and women are getting saved by men AND women? A great example: Beth Moore. She has spoken the Word of God to millions of women around the nation. God would never tell a women that she couldn't spread His word because it is not biblical. God calls everyone to do different things, and I believe that women are called everyday to spread God's Word.
I am falling more and more in love with Jesus because of my Young Life leader Alecia. I thank God for bringing her into my life, and showing me God's unconditional love through the toughest time in my life. Without Alecia, I don't think I would have ever become a Young Life leader.
Read Romans 16.
Galatians 3:8
There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

the person who said women cannot minister took the scripture out of context and they have not interpreted it correctly. 1 Timothy 2:12 says, "But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet." This does NOT mean that women cannot minister. It is saying that women should not be a lead pastor of a church, yes because the role of a lead pastor of a church is related to the example of marriage. and it also says in 1 Cor 14:34"The woman are to keep silent in the churches; for they are not permitted to speak, but are subject to themselves..." Paul wrote this because the woman in the church of Corinth we speaking up, disruptively asking questions publicly in the chaotic services.
hope that clears things up lol
